I am an orphan. No one cares about me. I am hungry. I am cold. I am despised. I am abandoned. I am abused. I am Stella’s Voice. A voice is all that is left of Stella, a handicapped orphan. Homeless, powerless, silenced. Used by evil men. Dead at nineteen. I am Stella’s Voice. I am the voice of orphans. I am their prayer for food, for warmth, for love. I am their cry for protection from sex traffickers. Will you be Stella’s Voice too?

Stella's Voice is the last cry that remains from an orphaned girl who was sold, used, and dead from AIDS by 19. There is no one in the entire world more vulnerable to sex trafficking than orphaned girls; no one knows or cares when they disappear into the night. And there is no country that fuels the engine of sex trafficking in all of Europe more than Moldova.

Stella's Voice provides a home for poverty-ridden girls in Moldova after they are aged out of the state-run orphanages at the young age of 16. The ministry also has the only Christian orphanage in the country, as well as a separate home for boys. 

Stella's Voice is more than a cry for help and rescue. It is also a beacon of help and hope, making an eternal difference for desperate children. Together, we can make Stella’s voice louder. Together, our prayers are more powerful. Together, we can make a difference. Will you be Stella’s Voice?

PLEASE HELP!!! HOW DOES THE CRIMINAL JUSTICE SYSTEM IN NIGERIA WORK?

Hello, trust you are doing well by God's grace?  Don't bother trying to find out how I am doing because I don't think I'm fine at all!!! It's 5.18am here and I haven't slept at all ... just here all night, shinning my eyes and trying to work on my final MSc project/dissertation but I'M STUCK!!! 

Somebody please help me oooo! Can you kindly tell me in simple terms how the criminal justice system in Nigeria works? Is the federal law and Criminal Code Acts applicable in all states? Where does that Sharia law thingy come in? Is Sharia the same as the penal code? And which one is criminal procedure code/law/acts  again? *confused look*  

While I was researching, I came across this "The criminal justice system in Nigeria starts to run with the commission of a crime and straddles subsequent interventions by agencies of the system such as arrest, arraignment, trial, sentencing and punishment of the offender. Given that the country operates under a federal arrangement, the processes are governed by an array of federal and state legislations. Finally my research topic is "Effect of sexual Abuse on Nigerian Women's health". If you know any Nigeria laws/acts against sexual violence, sexual abuse, harassment or rape etc please kindly state them below or direct me to where I can find them. 

*Thinking out loud*  I know I didn't make a mistake using Nigeria as a case study and I'm very confident it isn't a crime to carry out a research that could help me make impacts in my home country someday !!! As much as I love this research topic, finding necessary information and relevant data on serious issues affecting Nigeria is really FRUSTRATING! It's either nobody responds to your emails or the silly numbers they put on those official websites just never go through... Omo I don tire but I no say one day one day Naija go better! AMEN.

HYPERTENSION: The Silent Killer

Hypertension which is also known as 'high blood pressure' is a serious public health issue affecting about one billion people worldwide (WHO, 2013).  A report by the World Health Organisation (2013) stated that about 1 in 3 adults worldwide have hypertension. In other words, if 3 adults are sat together in a room, it is very likely that one of them has hypertension.

Due to low rennin activity in the body, high Salt diet and physical inactivity, Black people/Africans are more likely to have Hypertension. In adults between age 20-30years old, 1 in 10 people have high blood pressure and in adults above age 50years, 5 in 10 people do (Dreisbach,    2011).

                                                      

You see, hypertension is a silent killer! Many who have the hypertension do not know they have it because the symptoms are rarely obvious.  It is one of the main risk factors for cardiovascular disease and if not treated on time, high blood pressure/hypertension can lead to stroke, heart attack or even death (NHS Choices, 2012).

Researchers have estimated that every year nine million people worldwide die as a result of high blood pressure (WHO, 2013). A study by the Global burden of Disease identified hypertension as the 4th contributor to premature death in developed nations and the 7th cause of premature death in developing nations (Rao et al, 2012).

Despite the fact that hypertension is one of the biggest health challenge in the 21st century, it is preventable and also easy to treat if detected early (Rao et al, 2012). So just in case you didn’t know, the normal blood pressure for a healthy person is about 120/80mmHg, you should do your best to maintain a blood pressure around this.  Anything close to 139/89mmHg means the individual is highly at risk of hypertension and the blood pressure needs to start getting monitored and followed up some lifestyle changes.

If you are based in the UK, you can check your BP for free at your local GP or with the NHS! I cannot really say much about the healthcare system in other countries but no matter where you are, checking your blood pressure should be quite cheap, stress-free and pain-free!  There are also affordable and easy-to- use sphygmomanometer/blood pressure meters available for sale at local pharmacies, you can use this to monitor your blood pressure at home yourself.

HYPERTENSION KILLS SILENTLY!  TRACK YOUR BP NUMBERS NOW & LET US KNOCK OUT HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE!!!

THE DAY YOU DIE...WHAT HAPPENS?

The day YOU die! Have you ever thought about it before?  

The day you die, you won't have to do anything,

People will gather to do everything for you!

They will be there, taking off your clothes and bathing you

And then wrapping your body with a shroud

Some will go around with heavy hearts

 Informing others that you're no more!!!

Many will come to your funeral

Some will leave their work, just to be present

Some of these will be the same ones who never really cared

Or thought of advising and showing you the right path

And there will be a few good ones who gave their best while you lived.

Some of your wealth will go to your family,

Some might even go to loved ones and 'smart friends'.

If you did good while bringing up your children,

They'll pay off your debts,

Otherwise, most of your belongings will be disposed

Or nicely donated to charity

Be sure of this one thing,

This whole world won't be sad you left

Nothing will stop, everything will continue,

 Just as normal as it is today and was yesterday!!!

People who truly loved you will feel sorry

Close friends will be sad for some time,

Family members will feel terrible for weeks, months or probably years.

Then everyone is back to their normal lives

And you'll be just a memory.

By then, no one will be worrying about you,

You'll be left alone in your grave,

Having nothing but your deeds, good or bad ones!!!

Truly speaking, many don’t really care how you feel now,

So how do you expect them to worry about you when you're far gone?

Is it these same people who care-less about life, body, soul and spirit

You try your very best to please today?

Even when it costs you disobeying God?

Don't be a fool !!!

The day YOU die, you will be left alone for judgement

Heaven or Hell could be your permanent residence for eternity

Depending on how well you live on earth

Accept Jesus now!

Love Him, walk in Him and with him!

No one deserves to be pleased at the expense of God’s word

Not even yourself!

The day you die, you’ll realise

Death is never the end

 It's just the real beginning!!!

This is an alarm, a call to alertness and vibrancy...It's a reminder to me first, because honestly I came to realise many things I wasn't conscious of. Dear friends, please be reminded that no one deserves anything that could make you sin and nothing worth it outside God, your creator! What the rest of the world thinks or says is just a minority, it is nothing compared to what God thinks so don’t let anyone intimate or influence negatively!  Give yourself to pleasing God in all you do, the bible says in Ecclesiastes 12:13 “Fear God and keep his commandments, for this is the whole duty of man.”

Bible Text: 2Cor 5:17
“ Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”

When you encounter Jesus there must be a change in your life. Everything about Jesus spells change. From the day He was born things changed, even the calendar changed. After Jesus was born, people started talking about years before Christ and years after Christ. From the moment Jesus came, He changed everything about the law of gravity and walked on water. When you encounter Jesus, you go up and stay up and it’s possible to say I shall be above only and never beneath(Deuteronomy 28:13). Since Jesus came and turned water into wine, it became clear that if you’re linked to Jesus, you can never be ashamed.

Jesus never leaves a man the same way he met him. In John 5:2-9, He met a man who had been sick for 38years and changed everything…He put an end to his sickness, bondage and loneliness, and changed the man’s level for good. 
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘Change’. JESUS! CHANGE!!! “ 
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘New level’. JESUS! NEW LEVEL!!! “ 

In Mark 5:1-20, Jesus met a man who was thoroughly mad and possessed by thousands of demons but by the time Jesus finished with him, he was free! JESUS= FREEDOM
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘freedom’. JESUS! FREEDOM !!! “ 

In Luke 7:17-18, Jesus met a widow who lost her only son but when Jesus saw her on her way to bury her child, he changed everything! The child was restored back to life, the directions of mourners changed from the graveyard back home and tears was turned to laughter.
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘Complete restoration’. JESUS! COMPLETE RESTORATION!!! “ 
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘New Direction’. JESUS! NEW DIRECTION!!! “ 

In mark 5:35-42, when Jesus came to Jarius house, everything changed! People thought it was too late but when Jesus proved them wrong, Jarius time had come and his daughter was brought back to life. 
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘Fullness of joy’. JESUS! FULLNESS OF JOY!!! “ 
“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘My time has come’. JESUS! MY TIMES HAS COME!!! “ 

Jesus’ focus is not on your situation, His focus is on you! There is nothing Jesus cannot do…He can heal the sick, he can raise the dead, he can make the lame walk, He can make a barren fruitful. He does so many wonders but as powerful as God is, Isaiah 69:1-2 makes us understand that sin can stop God from working in you. There is something called spiritual insulator and that is Sin. Jesus came to remove that spiritual insulator so that the power of God can flow in you. Jesus knows if he can change you, everything else about you will change.

In Luke 8:1-3, Mary Magdalene’s life changed after meeting Jesus. In those days witches used to be killed but when she met Jesus, instead of killing her, He changed her completely and the former witch became a divine treasurer 

SEVERAL THINGS HAPPEN WHEN YOU MEET JESUS
1. When you meet Jesus, He will change your name from sinner to child of God. 
2. When you meet Jesus, He changes your accommodation, you stop dwelling with sinners and start dwelling with children of God. If you truly encounter Jesus everything about you will change and you will lose many friends because many of them won’t understand you anymore. If you don’t leave your friends many of them will leave you.
3. When you encounter Jesus, He changes you from a civilian to a soldier (2 Timothy 2:3-4).
4. When you encounter Jesus, you will no longer be running from forces of darkness because He said in His Words that we’ll cast out demons in His name 
5. When you meet Jesus, you’ll become a warrior with the backing of the Lord of hosts 
6. When you meet Jesus, things around you will change. How can you claim to be a Christian and there is no change in your local community. God changes you so you can change you nations. If every Christian truly had an encounter with Jesus when they gave their lives, nations will be changed.
7. When you encounter Jesus, your final destination changes. Bible says in Psalm 9:17“The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God”. Jesus came to change our final destination from hell to heaven. The shocking thing is that even though Jesus wants you to change, He won’t force you to change! He won’t force you to go to heaven, that is your own decision to take. If you want to go to heaven/hell, the choice is yours!

If you say you have encountered Jesus but there is no change, it is a pastor/evangelist you met not Jesus!

“When I say the name ‘Jesus’, shout ‘New Management'. JESUS! NEW MANAGEMENT!!! “ 

If you decide to have an encounter with Jesus, you must be willing to come under a new management. He says in Matthew 11:28-29 “28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.”

Before you met Jesus, your affairs were managed by the devil and yourself but when you encounter Jesus, there must be only one master and that master should be Jesus! If satan is your master he will take care of you with fear, sickness, nightmares and all sorts of problem but if Jesus is your master , he will take care of you with good health, peace, joy and blessings

Tonight I challenge you to come under a new management…The management of the king of kings, the management of the Lord of host who has never lost a battle, the management of a God who can do all things. New management must be your decision tonight, give your life to Jesus tonight!

***PRAYER POINT***
Father, everything you have to change in me so that I will make it to heaven, change it tonight. My way of thinking, my way of dressing, my friends etc and if I don’t want to change easily, change me completely by force! Change me inside out! Change my destiny for good and give me a new direction.

-There’s someone here tonight by the time I finish with you, every part of your body will be like brand new
-There’s someone here tonight from now, I’ll give you beauty for ashes
-There’s someone here tonight, you will soon know the full meaning of oil of joy

Bible Text: Psalm 24:7-10

“Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.”

There are 3 categories of Christians. The first are the baby Christians who drink only milk and cannot take hard stuff (1Peter 2:2). The second category are adult Christians who can eat strong meat (Hebrews 5:12-14). Then there is a level of those higher than adult Christians, they don’t only eat strong meat, they crack bones so they can reach for the marrows (Mark 4:10-11). These mature Christians are the ones who are given the opportunity to see the mystery and hidden things of the kingdom.

You know the category a Christian belongs to by the way they respond to things of God. When you say to a baby Christian ‘God loves you’, they get all excited and it ends there. When you say God loves you to a mature Christian ‘God loves you’, they are quick to say ‘Amen’ and they also spend time pondering because they know the bible says God chastens and corrects those He loves (Proverbs 3:11-12).

For example when God had to proof that he had power over fire , his beloved Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego go through fire (Daniel 3). When He had to proof that he was the Lion of the tribe of Judah, he sent Daniel and allowed him go into the lion’s den (Daniel 6).

Tonight’s message is for matured Christians who are bone crackers. The Lord of host is a man of war, he hardly looses a battle. Sometimes He can lose a battle in order to win a war but He never loses a war! When it seems like God is losing a battle, then he has a surprise coming up. If you read through the book of Daniel chapter 3, you will realise that God kept quiet while the 3 Hebrew boys were being persecuted, He did nothing while the fiery furnace was being heated but waited to show His power when the boys had been thrown into the fire. By the time God was through with Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledged God as the most high.

In the name that is above every other name, God will fight your battles for you. Amen!You will have the last laugh in Jesus name… And by the time God finishes with you tonight, you will begin your journey to prosperity in Jesus name. Amen

There are battles God will fight for you. In Exodus 14:13-21, Moses told the children of Israel to be still and watch God fight for them. When you are being pursued by generational enemies, it’s only God that can fight the battle for you.

There are battles God will fight WITH you. If you read through Joshua 10, while Joshua was fighting his own battle on one side, God was raining down great hailstones on Joshua’s enemies from heaven.

Finally there are battles He will fight THROUGH you. Mark 11:23, says “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith”. This is a way God fights your battles though you, you have to do it yourself by saying what you want. Also in Isaiah 54:17 bible says “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper; and every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn”. The statement “No weapon that is formed against thee shall prosper” is a battle God will fight for you while the other bit “every tongue that shall rise against thee in judgment thou shalt condemn” means you also have to fight the battle yourself.

Tonight God will fight for you, He will with you and also fight through you in Jesus name. Amen.

Many of us like to quote Psalm 68:1-3. “ Let God arise, let his enemies be scattered: let them also that hate him flee before him.As smoke is driven away, so drive them away: as wax melteth before the fire, so let the wicked perish at the presence of God.”

A baby Christian will simply say amen to this bible text, an adult christian might even sing it as a song but matured Christians don’t just quote it, they check to make sure they are not God’s enemies.

In 2Samuel 12:1-7, God sent a prophet to King David when He sinned against God, David passed his judgements not realising the person the prophet was talking about was him. 

You also need to make sure that it is not God fighting against you. You see, God can either be for you, be against you or just be very neutral with you. When God is neutral with a man, He is neither for or against the man, He just leaves the person alone. If God leaves you for one day, you are finished!

Before you pray for God to fight your enemies tonight, make sure you are not the enemy

SEVEN THINGS THAT CAN MAKE YOU AN ENEMY OF GOD
1) You can become an enemy of God by lying to Him. You insult the intelligence of the all knowing God by telling him a lie. In Acts 5:1-11, Ananias and Sapphira died the same day just because they lied in the presence of God. 

2) Failure to pay your vows can make you an enemy of God . Ecclesiastes 5:4 says” When thou vowest a vow unto God, defer not to pay it; for he hath no pleasure in fools” and remember Psalm 14:1 says “The fool hath said in his heart, There is no God”. In other words, when you make a vow to God but refuse to redeem it, you are indirectly saying God doesn’t exist... and when you say to God that He doesn’t exist, He tries to show you that He does exist

3) You can become an enemy of God by not obeying Him completely. If you are not going to obey God completely, don’t bother obeying Him at all because God hates incomplete obedience.

4) Lukewarmness can make you an enemy of God. Revelation 3:15-16 “I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot. So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth”. This is the one many of us are guilty of! Many atimes we have to be begged to do certain things for God. God doesn’t like lukewarmness at all, he would rather you were either very hot or so cold. If you are going to be a Christian, be a Christian but if you cannot be a Christian,GO! Whatever is worth doing is worth doing well! If you want to serve God, serve Him but if you don’t want to, stop pretending! it makes God feel insulted.

5) God gets pretty upset when you doubt him. Hebrews 11:6 says without faith it is impossible to please God. Bible also says whatever is not of faith is sin. Doubting God’s promises makes Him feel insulted. If His words says it, that settles it! Many of us have lost our miracles half way because of doubt

6) When you sin, you make yourself an enemy of God. Psalm 7:11 says God is angry with the wicked every day. That is quite frightening but yet many Christians continue in sin and expect grace to abound! You can not be a born-again Christian and still live the way you like.

7) God gets upset when He warns you but you keep ignoring his corrections. Proverbs 29:1 says “He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.”. 

Many Christians have cheapened grace…we tend to say “God is a gracious God” but we need to remember that it was in this same dispensation of grace He killed Ananias and Sapphira for telling a lie. Don’t let anybody deceive you, God is the same yesterday, today and forever!

If you have not yet given your life to Christ, surrender your life to Him now! And if you are a Christian still toying with sin, ask God for forgiveness now so you don’t remain His enemy.

PRAYER POINTS
1) Father, I didn’t even know that I have been my own enemy, please forgive me, I will change! I will never doubt you again, I will heed corrections/warning, I will redeem my vows on time, I will pay my tithe completely, I will obey you completely, I will stay away from sin…
2) Father all the battles I cannot win on my own, please fight them for me. All generational curses father deal with them for me
3) Father I won’t doubt you anymore, you said in your word that if I tell any mountain to move, it will move and so I’m saying to mountains in my life, MOVE! Sickness move, failure move, hopelessness move, sorrow move, every obstruction to my success move…I command you in the name of Jesus
4) Father arise and let all my enemies be scattered in Jesus name.

I've spent the past few days singing a very beautiful hymn "Jesus Only His our Message" by Albert Simpson. Well I guess I've got the hymn stuck in my head because  I have been watching RCCG's 61st Annual Convention themed 'Jesus' via the internet. When I first saw the youtube video(http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fVdWkOPYkGE) of the General Overseer of Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) inviting people to the church's annual convention, I said to myself "Daddy GO really means business this year" and sure, I was right!  

 Today is Day 4 of the convention and so far I think RCCG Convention 2013 has been very different but great. For starters, the theme of the convention is 'JESUS' and that alone guarantees all sorts of blessings, deliverance, breakthroughs, miracles, signs and wonders. Then the deep-thought provoking messages makes you actually re-examine your relationship and work with God. Like many others, after each message I've been moved to re-dedicate my life to God.

Truth be told, this convention is best described as a wake-up call that makes you re-evaluate your christian work and also makes you prepare yourself for the second coming of Jesus! Here are some things I  will like to share with you from the convention

"God is not moved by emotions, tears, rolling on the floor, etc. What moves God is His words and the principles He has established. "    ARE YOU REALLY OBEYING HIS WORDS?

"Genuine salvation will turn you completely into a new creature. The bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:17 'Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creation: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.'  It is a big contradiction to what the word of God says when you claim to be born again but your lifestyle remains the same as it was before you got saved"  NOW PONDER, ARE YOU GENUINELY SAVED?

"It doesn’t matter how long you’ve been attending church or whether you are a minister or worker in the church, if you cannot remember the day or period you gave your life to Christ, you need to give your life to Christ today.When you give your life to Christ, you become married to Him. If you cannot remember your wedding date, and you say you are saved, you're saved from What?"  DO YOU REALLY HAVE A SALVATION TESTIMONY? CAN YOU REMEMBER WHEN GOD SAVED YOU AND WHAT HE SAVED YOU FROM?

" When you are genuinely saved, it’s difficult to just keep quiet; you will be eager and happy to tell everyone who cares to know about the Jesus who saved your soul from hell." HAVE YOU TOLD ANYONE ABOUT JESUS LATELY?

 "When you are saved, there is no sin that is called ‘small sin’, you wouldn’t want to commit any type of sin because you are conscious Christ lives in you.For those of you who think you can toy with sin once in a while, remember David! David committed sin just once and as a result he brought a curse not only on himself but on his generation forever."  DO YOU STILL THINK THAT TINY BESETTING SIN ISN'T A BIG DEAL?

 "We have people who seriously give their life to Christ but with time their hearts begin to drift and they eventually backslide. After giving your life to Christ, for you to remain saved you need to strife for sanctification. Why? The bible says in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked" and Proverbs 4:23 says “Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.”. If the same heart that controls the issue of your life is desperately wicked then there is a big problem!"  WE ALL NEED JESUS TO HELP US LIVE A HOLY & ACCEPTABLE LIFE .
