2014 ! UNKNOWN FUTURE, KNOWN GOD

Wow! The year has gone so fast, I still can't believe it's the last day in 2013. Although at some point I was really counting down, anxiously waiting to embrace the newness of 2014 and to say a big "bye-bye" to this dramatic 2013 because it has been one challenging year but God's mercy kept me from breaking... Let's just say the many tests I experienced gave room for many testimonies. Indeed "Mercy said NO" and  my 2013 testimony is all wrapped up in Psalms 136

“O give thanks unto the Lord; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks unto the God of gods: for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks to the Lord of lords: for his mercy endureth for ever.
To him who alone doeth great wonders: for his mercy endureth for ever…
Who remembered us in our low estate: for his mercy endureth for ever:
And hath redeemed us from our enemies: for his mercy endureth for ever.
Who giveth food to all flesh: for his mercy endureth for ever.
O give thanks unto the God of heaven: for his mercy endureth for ever.”- (Psalms 136:1-4, 26-30)

As the new year fast approaches, I'm excited about many things and if you are like me, you already have goals, visions and dreams of how you want the year 2014 to be. But if we want to be honest with ourselves, we know that with all the planning and dreaming, we still do not know exactly what the future holds. Of course sometimes we have an idea of what God wants to do in our lives, we have the passion and goals that drive us to make the new year better than the former but because we are not psychic, we can't tell exactly how things will play out.

You can have great dreams, strong determination, exceptional planning and time management skills but still something can come up out of the blues to disrupt everything. Even if God shows you a vision of where he is taking you to, you still cannot get every single detail right all at once simply because you are not alpha and omega, only God knows the end from the beginning! Only Him knows where all the bumps, turns and dead-ends are in our journey through life!

As 2014 approaches, I just want to encourage you to trust your unknown future into the hands of a known and capable God! His plans for your life are much more better than what you have planned for yourself.

Don't try to run your life by yourself this new year, fact is that you can't do it all by yourself so surrender those dreams and goals to God! You really don't know what the future holds but God knows...You can't tell the end from the beginning but God can! I repeat,  hand over your life, plans and unknown future into the hands of a known God...Life is a lot easier that way! When things start to go wrong, don't try and figure it all by yourself,  just go back to God for help, seek His face through prayers and He will surely answer you.

RCCG HOLY GHOST CONGRESS 2013 (Day 1)
Theme: THE OVERFLOW

Message Title: Beyond Salvation
Preacher: Pastor EA Adeboye
Key Text: Matthew 24:13

"But He that endure till the end shall be saved"

John 3:3-8 pictures the difference between seeing the kingdom of God and getting there. Salvation is just the first process involved in making heaven, to ultimately make heaven at the end of time, pure endurance is needed.

The race to heaven is not a sprint but a very long marathon. You need the INSTANT salvation to begin the race but the ULTIMATE salvation to finish it. Act 20:20-24. Heb 11:13

The devil knows that getting into heaven is not an easy task so he sugarcoats the idea of Salvation. He tries really hard to make you as a christian see no fault in claiming to be saved while living still in sin.

Galatians 5:3-4 shows that it is not everybody that started the Christian race that will finish it, some fall by the roadside, some get distracted.  In Jesus' Name You will not fall. Amen.

It is a thing to start a race, it is another to finish it; there are different things that may cause the runner to be disqualified:

1. Possibility of falling from grace. Gal 5:3-4. Any race without Holiness is not a race. , 2Tim 2:5

2. Disobedience- If you're not winning souls you can be disqualified from the race. John 15:1-2

3. Distractions-Luke 9:62, Philemon 1:24, 2Tim 4:10

4. Change of mind by the runner- 2Peter 2:21-22. If the runner decides on his own to stop running perhaps because he yielded to the pressure from the things in the world.

If any believer escapes satan's trap the devil always seek new means, weak points to get such fellow back into his captivity

5.Overconfidence Matthew 26:21-34, 1 King 13:1-24. Getting too familiar with the anointing of God upon your Life so much that you use it as the means of getting Titles given by Men. Having to much confidence in yourself as a minister that you no longer take instructions from God.

6. Running out of energy: Matthew 25:1-13 This fellow is not distracted, overconfident or disobedient, He is just running out of energy. This fellow is suddenly getting tired of waiting. He's just weary by time factor, to him the waiting is too long.

After salvation, You need the act of sanctification.

-Sanctification is the only form of defense you have against the Lies of the devil. It is the only tool that helps you to crucify that flesh indeed.

-You also need the Holy Spirit. Act 1:8, Rom 8:26 You need the Holy Spirit to remain saved, continue in the race and to finish well. Eph 5:11. We need the Holy Spirit urgently as Christians. The Holy Spirit seals our salvation, He seals our faith.

Therefore, if you are not yet saved then you have not really started the race and if you think that grace will continue to abound for you even in sin, you are a joker! Come to the one who can save you totally because the only prayer a sinner can say that will move God is the prayer of Mercy.

PRAYER POINTS
(Pray for at least 30 minutes)
1. Praise the Almighty God
2. Father, please restore me fully
3. Father, please sanctify me holy.
4. Father, baptize me with your Holy Spirit and with fire.
5. Father, fill me to Overflowing with your Holy Spirit
6. Father let me finish well, let me finish strong, let me finish with joy.
7. Personal Prayer.

RCCG HOLY GHOST CONGRESS 2013 (Day 2)
Theme: THE OVERFLOW

Message Title: Healing Virtue
Preacher: Pastor EA Adeboye
Key Text: Acts 5:10-15

”10 Then immediately she fell down at his feet and breathed her last. And the young men came in and found her dead, and carrying her out, buried her by her husband. 11 So great fear came upon all the church and upon all who heard these things.12 And through the hands of the apostles many signs and wonders were done among the people. And they were all with one accord in Solomon’s Porch. 13 Yet none of the rest dared join them, but the people esteemed them highly. 14 And believers were increasingly added to the Lord, multitudes of both men and women, 15 so that they brought the sick out into the streets and laid them on beds and couches, that at least the shadow of Peter passing by might fall on some of them. 16 Also a multitude gathered from the surrounding cities to Jerusalem, bringing sick people and those who were tormented by unclean spirits, and they were all healed.”

The plan of God for your life is that you are not sick at all so when sickness comes it is a stranger, an evader, an agent of the devil. John 10:10 says “The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy” The devil is out there to steal your health, kill your body and destroy you but Christ has come to give life abundantly. The bible says in 1ohn 3:8 “For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil.”
In the name that is above every other name, anything that resembles agent of death in your life will be destroyed tonight in Jesus name. Amen. Not only will you be healed, beginning from now, everyone you touch will be healed in Jesus name. Amen.

Healing can fall into different categories. It can be in form of a repair according to John 5:2-9. The man at the pool of Bethesda had been there for 38years but after an encounter with Jesus, all the things holding him down was repaired and he was healed completely. Whatever needs to be repaired in your body, the great physicians will heal tonight in Jesus name. Amen

Sometimes healing goes beyond repairs, in some cases healing requires reversing the irreversible. Everything that is beyond repairs in your life, may the Almighty God reverse the irreversible tonight in Jesus name. Amen

Occasionally, there is a healing that involves creative miracles. For example in 2kings 5:1-14, Namaan wasn’t just healed of leprosy but his skin was restored like that of a new born baby. I am believing the Almighty God tonight that as many as need creative miracles tonight will get them in Jesus name .Amen

In some cases healing requires resurrection. For example in Romans 4:17-21, the bible tells us the womb of Sarah was already dead. The womb had long ago seized to be the type that could hold a child but God resurrected the womb. Any part of your body that they have claimed to be completely dead will come back alive tonight in Jesus name. Amen.

Some healing don’t just require resurrection but life too. In John 11:25, Christ describes himself as the resurrection and life. In John 11:39-44 bible tells the story of lazarus’ death and how Jesus brought him back to life. Jesus didn’t just bring Lazarus to life but he healed the disease that killed him in the first place.

There is a level of health where the healing power of God dwells so mightily in someone. Exodus 23:25 says “So you shall serve the LORD your God, and He will bless your bread and your water. And I will take sickness away from the midst of you “. If by accident sickness goes into such a body, the consuming fire of God kills the disease.

There is also a level of health where healing/health overflows to others. In Acts 3:1-8, when Peter and John were about entering the temple and saw the lame man at the beautiful gate, all Peter had to do was lift the man up and immediately the man who had been lame from his mother’s womb began working. It was the healing power flowing inside of Peter that transferred to the lame man.

You are not in this congress just for yourself; you are in this congress so you can overflow to others. From today, you are going to pray for the sick and they will recover! Health can flow through your hands and also flow through your dress. In Acts 19:11-12, bible says “God worked unusual miracles by the hands of Paul, so that even handkerchiefs or aprons were brought from his body to the sick, and the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out of them”. Beginning from this moment forward, your dress will heal the sick and raise the dead in Jesus name. Amen.Because of what God is going to do in your life, you are going to become an amazement to your neighbourhood.

According to Acts 5:14-15, there was so much healing power in Peter to the point that his shadow began healing people. Can God do the same for you? Oh Yes! But for the healing virtue to flow through you, you need the anointing. Acts 10:38 Says “how God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.”. In addition to this, Isaiah 61:1 says “The Spirit of the Lord GOD is upon Me,Because the LORD has anointed me to preach good tidings to the poor;He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and the opening of the prison to those who are bound”. It is when you are filled with the Holy Spirit you can begin to do exploits for God.

You cannot have the anointing if you are still living in sin. The Almighty God will not give His Holy Spirit to someone who is unholy and living in sin. For the Holy spirit to become your portion, you need to be saved and so if you have not given your life to Christ, do so now! Repent of your sins, forsake them and accept Jesus as your Lord and saviour.

If God has not been using you to heal the sick it is probably because (1) You don’t believe He can use you (2) You never asked Him. The bible says we receive not because we ask not so we are going to ask Him not just for healing or good health tonight but for the anointing to heal others.

Prayer points (Pray for at least 30 minutes)
- Praise the Almighty God
- Father, whatever needs repairs in my body, please repair it right now
- Father, whatever cannot be repaired, please replace it
- Father, baptise me massively with Your Holy Ghost and fire so that I will never know sickness or disease again.
- Father, from tonight let Your healing virtues flow through me
- Father, touch my loved ones also and make them whole

RCCG HOLY GHOST CONGRESS 2013 (Day 3)
Theme: THE OVERFLOW
Message Title: Deliverance Ministry
Preacher: Pastor EA Adeboye
Key Text: Mark 16:17

“And these signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons; they will speak with new tongues”

According to the text, the very first thing Jesus said deliverance will do is to cast out demons. As children of God, we are to cast demons out not tolerate or fear them! In acts 16:16-18, Paul and Silas came across a girl who was possessed with the spirit of divination… She who followed them about for many days saying they were servants of God but one day, Paul got tired of it and commanded the spirit to come out of her and the bible records that the same hour, the spirit came out of the young girl.

From this story we see that if you tolerate trouble, you will keep having troubles and as long as you have agreed to tolerate demons, they will keep on troubling you! There are many of us who are nowhere near where God wants to us to be because there are forces fighting against our lives, health, finances and destiny. Tonight you are going to tell the devil and his agents, enough is enough!

In 2kings 4:6-7, the widow tolerated debts for so long but the day the creditors came to take her boys she decided to do something about it. She cried out for help and help came! Tonight somebody will cry to God for help and help will come in Jesus name. Amen.

It is a great thing to be delivered. In Luke 8:1-3, Mary Magdalene was delivered of seven demons and several infirmities and after that deliverance, she became a divine treasurer using her resources for God’s kingdom. Also in the book of Mark 5, after the mad man of Gadara was delivered of the legion of demons, he became an evangelist, proclaiming all Jesus had done.

The purpose of the devil is to stop you from achieving destiny. He knows God didn’t create you for fun, he knows God created you for greatness and as a result he will do anything to make sure you don’t fulfil destiny.

It is great to be delivered but it is much better never to be possessed again. Sometimes people get delivered but due to carelessness, they get possessed all over again. Matthew 12:43-45 says “ When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came.’ And when he comes, he finds I tempty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first”. Many are going to be free tonight and by the grace of God, they will be free forever in Jesus name. Amen. Tonight when God sets you free, you will be free completely in Jesus name. Amen.

It’s great to be delivered but it is better never to have been possessed. If you ask anyone who has been delivered before, they will tell you that there is something to show that they had been possessed in the past. For example the mad man of Gadara used to cut himself with stones, after being delivered, he must have felt totally okay but there would have been scars left on his body from the cuts. If you have never been possessed, it’s a great thing but if you are been held down by demons, God will deliver you tonight in Jesus name. Amen.

The main text for tonight says “These signs will follow those who believe: In My name they will cast out demons”. This congress is not just for you to be delivered, you are called to deliver others to.

WHAT ARE THE THINGS REQUIRED TO HAVE A DELIVERANCE MINISTRY

To deliver someone, you must have an intimate knowledge of the great deliverer. In Daniel 11:32, the bible says “the people who know their God shall be strong, and carry out great exploits”. If you know the great deliverer who is Jesus, you will be able to do exploits and cast out demons. There are certain things you need to know about Jesus the deliverer

I. You need to know the power in His name. Phil 2:9-11 says “Therefore God also has highly exalted Him and given Him the name which is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, of those in heaven, and of those on earth, and of those under the earth, and that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father”. If you cast out demons in your name, you will get into trouble but if you cast out demons in the name of Jesus, the demons will move.

II. You need to know the power in His blood. Revelation 12:11 says “And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb”. There is power mighty, tremendous power in the blood of Jesus. The bible says the life of an animal is in its blood so you need to know that the very life of God is in the blood of Jesus and that makes the blood powerful!

III. You need to know the power in the Word. When Jesus was faced with temptation in the wilderness, He overcame the devil by saying “It is written”. The word of God is powerful, bible says in Ephesians 6:17 that word of God is the sword of the spirit. So when the devil comes to harass you, you draw out your sword (which is the word) to fight him.

PRACTICAL STEPS TO TAKE WHEN TRYING TO DELIVER A CAPTIVE

1) Plead the blood of Jesus. “ I cover myself in the blood of Jesus.”
2) Bind all the demons. Matthew 18:18 says “Assuredly, I say to you, whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.”
3) Command the demons to loose their hold on the captive.

“It is written that whatever I (insert your name) bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. Whatever I (insert your name) loose on earth shall be loose in heaven. I bind all you demons and command you to loose your hold over this life”

4) You decree that everything God hasn’t planted in the captive be uprooted (Matthew 15:13). You can pray saying something like “whatever the enemy has put in this person that has not been put there by God, I command you to leave”

5) Command the captive to be free in the name of Jesus and they shall be free!
N.B. Don’t wait for the devil to give you demonstrations. Don’t listen to demons, they are liars. Some of you have been thought to ask the demons questions but you don’t need to waste

AFTER DELIVERING THE CAPTIVE, THERE ARE CERTAIN THINGS YOU MUST DO

1) Encourage the person to be filled with the Holy Spirit.
2) Encourage the person to be an aggressive soul-winner. Mark 5:15-20, God told the mad man after he had been set free to go win souls. The reason why many people go back into sin after getting saved or get possessed after being delivered is because they don't get busy for God.
3) Encourage the person to live holy. John 14:30, John 8:44. If you continue in sin, the devil will come back to claim you
4) Tell the person to be prayerful. 1Thess 5:17. When you pray, particularly in tongues, you will keep the devil far away from you.

In Acts 19:11-17, the bible tells a story of the seven sons of Sceva who tried casting out demons in the name of “Jesus who Paul preached” but rather than come out, they demon replied and said “Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are you?”. Just because you have learnt so much about deliverance today does not mean you can go around casting out demons. If you are not really a child of God and you go trying to cast out demons just because Pastor Adeboye said so, the demon will say to you “Jesus I know, Adeboye I know, but who are you?”. You can only be a partaker of the blessings tonight if you surrender your life truly and totally to God.

PRAYER POINTS (Pray for at least 30 minutes)
1) Praise God wholeheartedly
2) Father, please forgive all my sins of disobedience and lukewarmness
3) Father, empower me tonight for battle against all forces of darkness
4) Father, stand by me tonight as I bind and loose
5) Father whatever you have not planted in my life (body, soul, spirit, home, ministry) be uprooted tonight
6) Father, let all forces besieging my destiny hear a noise from heaven tonight
7) Father as you were with Moses when he faced pharaoh, as you were with Joshua by the wall of Jericho, as you were with David when he faced Goliath, please be with me tonight.

The bible says in Deuteronomy 32:30 that 1 will chase 1000 and 2 will put 10,000 to flight so hold somebody and pray the following prayer points

- Father Lord of host, Arise for us now! Arise for our families and for the church

- Satan in the mighty name of Jesus, we command you by the power in the blood of Jesus loose these children of God. Loose my brother/sister, let him/her go

- My brother/sister, in the mighty name of Jesus, every force against your destiny, I disband now!

- Neighbor it is written, I will decree a thing and it will be established unto me, I hereby decree in the mighty name of Jesus, be free! Be free from every yokes, every form of bondage.

- Father, in my life, in my home in my business, in your church, let there be light!

RCCG HOLY GHOST CONGRESS 2013 (Day 4)
Theme: THE OVERFLOW

Message Title: More Than You Can Ask
Preacher: Pastor EA Adeboye
Key Text: Ephesians 3:20-21

“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen.”

What you get when you’re in need of help is determined by 2 persons. (1) The person you go to for help (2) Yourself.   For example, the fellow you go to ask for help can determine how much help you get  either by what he has or how generous he wants to be.  1kings 17:8-16. The help you get also depends on you. By this, I mean how much you are asking for, how desperate you are and how intensely you are asking.

When asking God for help, we should consider how much God has and how generous God is.

How much has God? The bible says Haggai 2:8 that all the silver and gold belongs to Him. God has more than enough to give you only if you would ask!  Even if God doesn’t have what you are asking for, He has the power to create it just so you get it.

How generous is God? 1Timothy 6:17 makes us understand that the living God, gives us richly all things to enjoy. God is not a miser, He is generous and when he gives, He gives generously. The bible says in John 10:10 that Christ came so we might have life and have it more abundantly.

Now that you know God is generous and has more than enough to give, the ball is in your court!  How much do you want from Him?  Many people don’t get much from God because they don’t ask. James 4:2 says “ye have not, because ye ask not”.  Sometimes receiving things from God is also subject to certain conditions. The bible says in John 15:16  “Ye have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, and ordained you, that ye should go and bring forth fruit, and that your fruit should remain: that whatsoever ye shall ask of the Father in my name, he may give it you”. One condition is soul-winning!  Be a soul winner first , then ask whatever you want and you'll get it.

When you are asking God for something, remember to ask till your joy is full.  John 16:24 says “Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.”

How desperate are you for God’s help? Do you really want what you say you want? Desperate people do desperate things.  In Mark 2:1-12, the bible tells the story of the young man who was sick with palsy. When the men who carried him couldn’t get into the room where Jesus was due to the crowd, they removed part of the roof and lowered the man down so Jesus could see him. Jesus was moved by their persistent faith and as a result, the man was healed.

The prayer of those who are desperate is usually different from those who are not desperate. How desperate are you to receive your miracle from God? Desperate people ask intensely and persistently. The bible says in Matthew 11:12 “And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffereth violence, and the violent take it by force.”

If you read Mark 10:46-52, you'll see that Bartimaeus was desperate! He made so much noise in his cry for help that the crowd told him to keep shut because it was disturbing but instead of keeping quiet, he screamed louder! The noise of one man was higher than that of the multitude and as a result , Jesus heard and healed him. Tonight God will hear you in Jesus name. Amen.

Hannah was desperate for a child, she asked God desperately and instead of getting just a child, God blessed her with more children after Samuel.

Do you really want healing tonight? God can heal you! He has healed several in the past and He  can do same for you today because He hasn’t changed.

Do you want to be debt free? If you know how to go to Him intensely tonight, by this time next year, you will say the people you used to owe are now owing you.

What do you want from God that He cannot give? We Christians dishonour God by asking for small things. We limit God when we ask Him for little things. Take your eyes off the natural and begin to focus on the Almighty God.

David said in Psalm 66:18 “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me.”. If you are still living a life of sin, God won’t listen to you no matter how much you cry or make big request. If God doesn’t hear your prayers as a result of sins, how can He answer?  Ask for forgiveness of your sins today and promise God that you’ll serve Him completely hence forth.

PRAYER POINTS(Pray for at least 30 minutes)
1) Praise Him from the bottom of your heart
2) Father rend the heavens, tear the heavens wide open over me so it will never be shut again
3) Father open the flood gates heaven and drench me in your blessings
4) Father I don’t want just to walk or run, I want to fly, give me wings to fly high
5) Father take me to the top speedily
6) Father give me nations for my inheritance
7) Father give me joy unspeakable
8) Father let me enjoy peace like a mighty river
9) Father please prosper me beyond my wildest dreams
10) Father empower me to win thousands of souls for you in the coming year
11) Personal prayer points

RCCG HOLY GHOST CONGRESS 2013 (Day 5)
Theme: THE OVERFLOW
Preacher: Pastor EA Adeboye
Key Text:  Psalm 23:5
“Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.”

That passage didn’t say ‘our cup’, it says ‘my cup’. Now personalise the verse by saying “I shall enter into overflow tonight because my cup shall run over”.

When considering the theme ‘overflow’ the first thing we should note is that our God is not a small God.  How big is our God? Isaiah 66:1 says  He sits in the heavens and his legs touches the earth. Those legs must be pretty big! Our God is so big and  because He is big, He doesn’t do small things. In Genesis 1:20-22, God commanded  the waters to  bring forth abundantly  and  the moment He said that, the ocean was filled with all manners of fish and creatures. All God needs to say is ‘let there be’ and things get created.
When  He created man, He said be fruitful and multiply. Beginning from now, you’ll begin to multiply rapidly in Jesus name.Amen.

Because our God  is a big God  that does big things, His purpose for your life is not small at all.  His purpose for your life is not for you to remain small…You may start small but in the name that is above every other name, you’ll not finish small. Amen!
Beginning from now your joy shall multiply! Your blessings shall multiply! Your miracle shall multiply and you will begin to overflow in Jesus name. Amen!

There are many people who are alive but barely surviving.  In Luke 13:11-17 the bible tells the story of the woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years and  as a result was bowed together and couldn’t stand straight. The woman didn’t die, yet  she was barely surviving.  In 2kings 5, the bible also gives the account of a great captain called Namaan but  despite his riches, his joy wasn’t full because of  his leprosy. Many people are alive but barely surviving…  Whatever is limiting your joy will disappear tonight in Jesus name. Amen.

God wants you to overflow. He doesn’t just want you to be healthy, he wants you to be healing people. He doesn’t  just want you to be free but  He wants you to be setting the captives free. He doesn’t just want you to be rich, he wants you to be lending to nations. He doesn’t just want you to be happy, he wants you to bring joy to your nation…He wants you to overflow!

However you have a choice.  Of all the creatures God created, only man has a choice and the ability to choose. You have a choice on how great you want to be. If you want to overflow there is a price to pay because entering into the overflow is not cheap.

ENTERING INTO THE OVERFLOW WILL COST YOU THE FOLLOWING
-      Total obedience  to God . Read  Deuteronomy 28:1-13. However verse 1 and 2 says “ if thou shalt hearken diligently unto the voice of the Lord thy God, to observe and to do all his commandments which I command thee this day, that the Lord thy God will set thee on high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come on thee, and overtake thee, if thou shalt hearken unto the voice of the Lord thy God.

-      Hardwork. Proverbs 22:29 says “Seest thou a man diligent in his business? he shall stand before kings; he shall not stand before mean men.”. When God enlarges your coast, it will lead you to hardwork. Overflow is not for the lazy and slothful , it is for hardworkers!

-      Self-discipline. 1Cor 9:25 says “And every man that striveth for the mastery is temperate in all things. Now they do it to obtain a corruptible crown; but we an incorruptible.”.  Careless people, those who cannot control themselves cannot cope with an overflow. You must learn to control yourself and be moderate in all things if you want the overflow.

-      Consistent and generous sowing.  1Cor 9:6 says “ But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully”.

-      Lots of prayers (particularly in the spirit).  In 1Cor 14:18, Paul testified to how he prayed  a lot in tongues and in Acts 19, there were testimonies of how Paul overflowed in anointing because his sweat and  handkerchiefs  from his body was doing miracles.

HOW DO WE BEGIN TO OVERFLOW?
-      Stop looking at yourself alone, begin to look for how you can become a blessing to others.  Stop praying for yourself alone, include others in your prayers. Move away from   prayers like “God heal me” to “God use me to heal people”. Move from prayers like “God bless me” to “God make me a blessing to others”.  In 2Chron 1:6-12, when God asked Solomon what he wanted after he had offered the sacrifices, Solomon asked for wisdom to lead God’s people.  He wanted wisdom so he could be a blessing to others and God honoured the request and even gave him more than he asked for.

-      Get thirsty for God. Matthew 5:6 says “ Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”.  2kings 2:9-15  When Elijah asked Elisha to make a request,  He asked for a double portion anointing. When you understand what a single portion anointing can do, you’ll realise that Elisha was hungry for the anointing. He got his request and  was soaked in so much anointing to the point that even after he died, his grave brought the dead back to life.

-      Accept His invitation. In John 7:37-38 Jesus stood and cried, saying “If any man thirst, let him come unto me, and drink. He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water”. The invitation has been made a long time ago, all God is waiting for is for us to come to Him saying “Lord I want to overflow”.  God is not just about to make the overflowing blessings, He has already set the table before you and all you need do is ask for it.

However it is important to note that the Almighty God will not give His overflowing blessings to someone who isn’t one of His own. You cannot continue living in sin and expect grace to abound. Accept Jesus Christ into your life today, confess and forsake your sins so you can also be a part of the overflowing blessings.

THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR

A while ago I found myself staring blankly in front of the mirror in my room...I must have been really lost in thoughts but then I snapped out and got inspired to write a poem titled 'The girl in the mirror' which I will be sharing with you guys today.

I hope it blesses you. Enjoy reading and be inspired :)

THE GIRL IN THE MIRROR

She stares blank at me
Looking pale, weak and helpless
Her eyes filled with questions
I can see right through her
There are many questions in there
Why am I here?
Who am I?
Am I living or simply existing?
What really is my purpose?
There has to be more to me...
She wants to know
She's that girl in the mirror
Demanding answers from me
I stare back at her
Pondering and wondering
Not sure of what to say
And then the words came
Mirror girl, mirror girl
Be of good cheer
Wipe your tears
And wear a smile
You were created for a reason
Born to worship
To show forth the praises of He who called you
You are here for a purpose
To be fruitful
To multiply
You were bought with a price
And made a priceless princess
You might feel you're just existing
But in Christ you have abundant life
God has made available to you
All that pertains to good life and godliness
There is more to your life
You're the radiant reflection of your maker
You were not born to be ordinary!
Mirror girl, mirror girl
Though seemingly fragile,
She's tougher than she looks
You can do this!
It is not time to give up
The whole world earnestly awaits you
Don't let your present situation hold you down
Don't let them look down on you
Don't let you stop you from being you
Arise oh daughter of Zion
You can make it if you try harder!
You are a woman on a mission
Don't give up trying
Go out there and try something new
Don't stop dreaming
Don't stop daring
Keep on believing
Mirror girl, you cannot shatter
Because beneath you are His everlasting arms.

Please help find missing Ayobami Jaiyeola

Hello everyone, please this is really important!

The young lady you see in the picture is Ayobami Jaiyeola. She left MD for Nigeria earlier this year for NYSC but went missing on Friday  29th November.  Ayobami was last seen leaving her home in Victoria Island wearing a pair of blue jeans and green polo top on the evening of the 29th November 2013, shortly after returning from a family meeting.

She's is 29years old and about 5.5ft tall. Please if you have any useful information that may lead to locating Ayobami, kindly call 08023182792 or report to the nearest police station. You can also share the picture below on various social media sites so we pass this message on to as many people as possible.

Above all, I beg you to please keep her in your prayers so that she can return home safe and sound.

Thanks and God bless you all,

Can 2013 BE OVER already?

Can 2013 be over already? It's been one long challenging year and I really can't wait to scream 'Happy New Year' on the 1st of January 2014.  The year started really rough for me because towards the end of 2012, I went through some interesting "dramas" that actually led me to starting this blog.  I was confused about so many things and gradually getting myself depressed but one day I made up my mind to stay strong no matter what! I decided to (1) keep encouraging myself in the Lord (2) keep trusting God to do what's best in my life whenever and however He pleases (3) Start using my stories to encourage others

I must confess those were some of the toughest decisions I've ever made in life! You see, some years ago I had an idea of where I thought God was taking me to, I also had my dreams and aspirations but things just didn't  go as expected!  There were times I found it extremely difficult encouraging myself in the Lord talkless of encouraging others... I had no motivation whatsoever to chat, write or share blog posts.

The year is fast coming to an end and to be honest, even though things are not totally perfect yet, I see God at work in my life! Talk about 11th hour miracles! I look back at those times when I was panicking, crying, moaning, complaining and "keeping malice" with God and oh my days... (*covers face*)...I just feel like giving myself some good strokes of cane for stressing out so much and not trusting God well enough.  (If getting worried was part of the last Olympics I would have won a gold medal for it... I was that troubled).

Although my life hasn't gone the way I planned it  5yrs ago, I see God using every experience I had gone through over the years for His glory...He had a bigger and better plan in mind all this while.

Over the years I made silly mistakes but I learnt good lessons from them (the hard way though because I got some good chastisement from the Holy spirit) . I'm not perfect yet but I'm not that sinner I used to be! I'm better, wiser, purer and stronger. I have had not so good experiences but I know all things are working together for my good because I trust God to make all things beautiful in his time.

Do you feel as though your life is at a standstill? Has 2013 gone a lot worse than you expected? Does it look like most of your plans and 'new year resolutions' for 2013 failed? Please don't be too hard on yourself, God can still do something unique in your life before the year runs out! The bible says nothing is too difficult for Him... It's never too late for God to bless you, He's always on time!

Also there's still room for improvement! You can spend the last days of the year planning, preparing and praying so that you can have a better 2014. Find out the things you did wrong this year, learn from your mistakes and make the necessary adjustments. In addition to these, find out exactly what God's plan for your life is and trust God to do things His own way, at His time.

To drive the message home properly, I'll leave you with the pictures below to ponder on. Hopefully they'll minister to you. Remain blessed and try to enjoy the last few days in 2013!
